It's a new year which brings new friends, new goals, new resolutions for the rest of the 12-month period. The hardest part is actually completing these goals and making new friends. Writing down a list of things to do this year is the easiest thing. I know I want to go to Australia, or to Cancun, but financially speaking that won't happen. I also want to go back to school or find a job that pertains to my degree and career goals, but also that requires the businesses to actually respond back to my applications and hire or accept me.

However, this magazine is the most stable thing in my life right now, which is also a great thing. I wanted this year to be about accomplishing much bigger goals and gaining more experience as a leader in an organization, be a leader of my own life, whatever that may mean, and I have come pretty far in the past few weeks in completing these tasks.

I'm 23 and I have experience in writing from different aspects, and Did You See Me Dance has given me the opportunity to use my skills that I already obtain to help others reach their goals as novice writers. The “new” DYSMD has teams of promoters, writers and photographers. This team has branched off into different topics besides just entertainment, club reviews and events. We are dedicating each month to at least one category, one topic that is relatable to the average reader. Of course we will continue promoting events, writing blogs and reviews, and introducing you to new djs and entertianers, however we are adding a little more flair as I like to call it.

Each month will be different. We will feature, artistry in make up, health and beauty. We will include articles and bios about different entreprenuers and business-minded individuals who are passionate about what they are doing. We will feature different individuals and introduce the readers to different business ideas, and new projects.

Did You See Me Dance will not only be a nightlife magazine but a magazine where any individual will be able to relate to things and learn and get involved as much as they can in different events and fundraisers.

This year, is all about change. President Barack Obama didn't say YES WE CAN if we couldn't. This year it's about doing something you've always wanted to do and thought you couldn't, well Did You See Me Dance will do its best as a team to bring you the best events, introduce you to the most important and business-minded indiviudals so that you CAN do what you wanted. We want our readers to get involved, and that is our new years' resolution.
