| Hello San Diego! It has been a while. I want to be one of many to wish you ALL a very happy St. Patrick’s Day!! Since the beginning of the year I have touched on different foods and restaurants throughout San Diego, but this time around I want to remind all of you of some cool ideas that have seemingly become a tradition this time of year. We are all familiar with the color “green” on St. Patty’s Day. It seems you see just as much, if not more green this time of year than you would around Christmas time. There are some very interesting ideas such as green Breeze Cheesecake, Shamrock Rice Crispy Treats and green Breeze Muffins. (green breeze is a healthier option to color your foods as opposed to regular food coloring). I have also noticed that green sushi has also become a popular trend for St. Patty’s Day. I’m not sure if I’ve ever thought of green sushi before, but I feel inclined to try it before the clock strikes midnight on the 17th.
And of course, one beverage that we all think of and have to have at least one of is green beer. Add a little green food coloring to some beer and you have a best seller. This is always a fun theme as far as beverages go, especially since the spring weather is now upon us. Before we go too crazy with the green beer, I would encourage all of you to read Richy’s latest review under Health and Fitness. In other words after you have a few green beers you are going to want to balance things out with some green tea.
There will be plenty of foods, drinks, and venues to experience on St. Patrick’s Day. I encourage you all to enjoy yourselves, but please be safe and responsible. Until next time, “Stay hungry my friends.” CIAO!!
